I watched an incredible demo on the use of Flitz polish on fiberglass (and the vinyl graphics). A clear piece of plexiglass was scratched with steel wool so terribly it was gray (and obviously not transparent anymore). The salesperson dipped his finger into the polishing compound and rubbed as section of the destroyed plexiglass for about 10 seconds - then buffed with a microfiber towel. The area he buffed was clear again! Not a single scratch showing. The demon on old, oxidized vinyl graphics was just as good. Anyone heard of this stuff? Used it?

He did, but there seems to be a replacement for him that is almost as obnoxious!
Dick, was this on TV, or an live demonstration where trick photography could not be used?

Flitz, its been around for a long time. I would sometime use it to polish my brass when I was active duty. Worked better than brasso. I use it on my bike now. It is great for chrome.
I am sure some of the old guys on the site have used it to.

I used it years ago to polish the chrome on my Triumph Bonneville motorcycle but never used it on fiberglass.

The demo was live (2 feet in front of my face). I also took a sample packet and tried it on a section of my beat-up vinyl graphics. The same type of graphics that everyone says "there is nothing you can do for them" the result in that small section was remarkable. I got to see what the real color was.

Hi all,
I used to buy it a Qt at a time. I was keeping a 85 ft boat polished , it worked on good paint jobs , my boss polished his jet with it. Have not used it in 15 years, great stuff .

I've used it for removing the water stains on the windows as well as the fiberglass. I'm talking about the stains from the constant dripping of the condensation run-off from the A/C. I have tried many things to remove these stains, but nothing works better than Flitz! I learned about it from a technition at Lazy Days, in Tampa. Great stuff!

Without the ending "z". Flit was a DDT solution that we used to spray from a pump sprayer when I was a kid in England. "Flit" has become a genreic name like "aspirin" and "hoover". Hoover has becone a verb in Brit-speak. You "hoover" your carpets.
It doesn't matter what brand of insecticdie spray you use, everyone in the UK calls it "Flit"
