I have a 2003 dolphin lx, model 6342 and the tray/flooring in the outside compartment where the sewer hose and water hose enter the MH has somehow been broken up such that it is ready to fall out. I had it towed recently (Workhorse brake calapers) and thought the tow company had somehow damaged the area, but they denied any fault and refused to provide any compensation.

I have checked Temecula Valley RV, Ortega Manufacturing and Giant RV but they do not have the tray/flooring. Does anyone have a suggestion where/who I might contact to fix this problem?

Thanks
dasa

dasa, That really is too bad. Since NRV is an orphan getting body parts isn't going to be easy. Perhaps you can have the flooring rebuilt by a body shop. They should be able to knock some tin into place and be able to coat it so it's not too prone to rusting.

DASA,

I had that same black plastic bay floor replaced due to an accident by "The Paint Department" in Chino, CA. I'm not sure how they redid it?

I'm going to be rebuilding mine soon using close to stock components and assembly.

In my case that is a thin sheet of aluminum on the bottom and some fiberglass panel on the top sandwiching about 3/8" plywood... with everything held together with angle brackets and caulk.

Three or four more angle brackets and a support angle underneath (wide compartment) should beef up the structure pretty well. And I have a good size piece of FRP to use.

The fun part is gonna be trying to align the drain valves better so I can set a grommet thing there for the waste hose... and have room for the fancy backwash hose coupler thing.

(Yeah, this thing has become a rolling restoration project)

can Ortega supply the whole bin (sides and floor) I had to replace mine when a thrown tread took most of the bin out. Not a hard job to do, just bends and slides in place after taking out a few screws ( this is for lack of a better term the plastic type bin) Also check with Walts RV supplies in Rialto,Ca he use to buy National and Fleetwood over stock.
