We received notice about the Ford recall notice regarding the cruise control. When I went to www.genuineservice.com and put in my VIN#, I found that the year our MH was manufactured there were two recalls issued. According to Ford, there is no record of them every being done. Both involve the brakes. One can cause brake failure.

Our MH is a 2000 Sea View. Why they were not done we can only guess. We are guessing either the MH was still at the factory or parked at the dealer.

We are having all three recalls taken care of at the same time. Ford just needs to get parts manufactured for the latest recall.

The brake recall involves Ford's with build dates 11/22/1999 - 4/29/2000.

The major downfall of any recall program is the notices go out to the last person who registered the with chassis manufacture. We are still receiving recall notices from Ford on a 2001 Dolphin, that we traded in 2003. The laws requires the manufacture to send notices to the last owner registered with the manufacture. Who knows how many times the '01 Dolphin has changed hands and the new owners never registered with Ford.
