Frequent Running Lights Problems

I have an '06 Dolphin. I am having very frequent issues with my overhead running lights. All other lights are performing fine.

All the running lights are getting power as tested by my meter. They do have rusted contacts on the ground and I have sanded them down over and over. Sometimes that gets them to work and sometimes it doesn't. I have also inserted 1 and sometimes 2 washers between the contacts to help get a better ground.

I am also finding that after only about 2 weeks of VERY MINIMAL use, the bulbs are frequently blowing out.

Any idea what I can do to help keep the ground wire more functional?

And any idea what I can do to keep the bulbs performing longer?

Many thanks in advance!

Looks like you are getting some moister in there that is causing the contacts to rust so fast. you might be able to coat your terminals with an oil after you clean them and seal the lens with silicone.
