Fresh Water Tank Mystery 1998 tradewinds

Dennis 1998 tradewinds 7370

Bought my national tradewinds 6 months ago. In general is in very good
Shape, with the little little problems. First problem was dealing with the
Dashboard climate control. I tried to access the dash from the front exterior
Panel. Big problem because the fresh water tank comes all the way to the front
And leaves barely enough room to look into the back of the dash using a flash
Light. Almost impossible to work there unless you crawl under and stand up
In the well in front of the front tires . Yesterday I ran into a guy with the same
Coach but his was a 2000. His fresh water tank was located farther back.
Soooooo. Here is my questions . 1 could someone verify if my tank is in a stock
Location for my year and model. And 2 Could someone send a photo of that front generator compartment as it should look. Who knows, maybe mine is
Correct, although previous owner allowed tank to freeze, and there is a bulge
And broken insulation.
Any help would be appreciated. Regards. Dennis. Olympia Wa.

I have a 2000 7373 and the dash just come out with 4 screws, no where near the fresh water tanks. You can work on it from under but not much room easier to just pull the dash. Mine has two 45 gallon fresh water tanks locate just behind front axle nowhere near the dash?

Located in the PS front compartment.

Behind that is the drain valve and both tanks. On is just forward of this and the other is beside it slightly back.

Talk are behind this compartment.

bind the dash, Vacuum pump

Dash

Under dash

If yours is a mid door it may be different.

This shot is fuzzy but it shows the generator and the horn so you can see where the other shot is compared to the generator.

Another Photo

Here is photo of my front compartment, i.e.: under the windshield, showing
My fresh water tank coming all the way to the front of the frame.
I don't think this is the original tank, or the original location.
Can anyone confirm my suspicion ?

My 98 tradewinds does not have that in front. May be aftermarket. Unless the newer tradewinds came with it. Idk. Someone here should.

Tradewinds water tank mystery

Hey ama009
Thanks for your input, could you possibly post a photo of your front compartment, and or tell me exactly where your fresh water tanks are.
Did you see the photo of the aluminum cover in the second compartment
Aft of the entry door? Are your tanks behind that ?
Thanks for your interest.
Regards. Dennis Olympia Wa.

Fresh Water Tank Mystery 1998 tradewinds

I couldnt get a pic of the front today because was too busy with work, but if i am not mistaken the black and grey tanks are under the dinette on the passenger side.
I believe that is the fresh water tank under the compartment aft of the side door. When i fill the fresh water the overflow drain is right under the door.

I had this pic from before.

Trade wind water tank mystery

Ama009
Thanks for the photo. If you are saying that the tank is behind that aluminum
Panel, then you have confirmed my suspicions. Thanks very much, I'll pull that panel and have a look. Big help. Thanks
