Hello friends, we are leaving tomorrow to go spend 5 days at Disney Fort Wilderness so my wife asked me to turn on the fridge on Sunday that way it will be cool enough tomorrow to load the food, yesterday the fridge was cooler down to 40 degree temp, today it is dead at 80 degrees, not cooling on propane so I had to plug the Electric cord and hopping to have it cool again tomorrow.
What should I look for and check to see what is the problem ?? I know I have a full tank of propane.

If it cools down when on ac mode, the gas heater system may be suspect.
Was the check lite lit?

1-- check any fuses related to the cooler unit and circuit board.
2--check that you have at least 12 volts at the refer.
3---check that the burner lites and stays lit.

I went back to the shop and found out that it is running on ac power, so I will check the heater tomorrow.

Also, look for debris around or in the gas orifice, cob webs ect. Might be a good idea to take a brush or compressed air to clean it out. When you attempt to switch it to gas, do you hear a relay or a slight "popping" sound?

We are back from the trip and the fridge worked fine on ac power, I also cleaned the fridge from the outside from all debris and dead bugs.
I have a small temperature gauge inside the fridge and for the 4 days it did not go below 40 is that a normal temp????

I think 40 degrees would be acceptable considering 32 is freezing.

40 degrees is fine....but you're not being able to run on propane can be one of 3 things...that I'm aware of:

1- dirty orifice....etc.

2- my Dolphin has 5 fuses controlling the fridge: 3 of them are on the "board" at the rear of the fridge, easily gotten to when the outside cover is removed.
Then, you have a 15 AMP fuse controlling the entire fridge itselt...and a 5 AMP fuse the controls the burner (ignitor) when you want propane to run.
The 15 and 5 AMP fuses (at least with my '01 Dolphin) are located in the fusebox next to the entry door, behind the inverter.

Hope this helps.

Thank you Jim, it was dirt around the orifice an I cleaned them up.
Thank you for the info, I printed your message for future use in case I need to locate the fuses.
