Hi and

I can't help with your specific questions but wanted to say hi. I'm sure some of our National owners will be along soon to chime in.

Best of luck to you...

Rick

Hi Normhorn,

Welcome! You have come to the right place. There are losts of good postings about removing and replacing your TV. I have read manuy of them and they answered all my questions. THere are some very creative people on this site. Use the search function and search for TV replacement. I'm sure you will find what you need. I too will be replacing my TV sometime this summer.

Good lick ` Bill

I replaced my TV in a 2003 Dolphin---but I'm not sure it would be the same. Some more information or a picture would help. Generally what ever trim is around the TV must be removed so look around for screws etc; if the trim is wood then look behind in surrounding cabinets for anything that looks like if you removed it it would expose how your TV is mounted. Mine was plastic and the screws were obvious, once the plastic was removed it became clear how to get it out------if you have an old CRT TV you may need help lifting it out they are heavy.

Hopefully a 2004 Tropical person will see this-------

Normhorn, welcome to the forum, if someone with the same MH doesn't answer soon post a pic of your tv set up in the overhead. Some of us may have the same mounting situation as your MH, even if it may be a different model from National.

Be careful lifting the old TV out---the weight will surprise you!
While you have it out, check the Front Cap for insulation--I added insulation to mine, to cut down on the heat transfer--helps.
I was able to use the existing steel mounting bracket, with some new holes drilled to mount the new TV.
