I was having some work done on the coach and the repair shop removed the front TV for me; at no charge!!
I had been pondering how to get that thing out for several months and now it is gone. I have a nice big hole up there now and looking to install an LCD.
Has anyone done this? I'm thinking of either using an extendable mount and attach it to the metal insert that the old TV sat in ELSE I might try a "desk mount" type of unit. Any suggestions or hints that might make my effort go more smoothly?

Thanks

I got tired of the 22" LCD flat screen that fit on my overhead so I installed a 32" LED TV this Winter. When I travel I do remove it and lay it on the bed but it sure beats watching that dinky 22" screen.

FloraBama,

Upgraded last year to a 32 inch LED HDTV. Please see Upgraded the big front tube tv to led hdtv Post # 18.

The articulating style mount is rated for double the static weight of the TV. Added removable 1/8 inch aviation safety cables for redundant in motion protection from TV mount failure. Not worried about the articulating mount, however the TV's mounting points may not be rated for sudden G-impluse.

This installation allows for viewing the TV even with the slides retracted. No problems since installation.

I have an 05 5355 Dolphin and I installed 32" Magnavox LCD TV That is 30" wide and fits perfectly in the original cabinet.

FloraBama,
I too have a '05 Dolphin and have replaced our 27" RCA TV with a 32" Samsung Series 5 - 540 TV. See below photos of installation. It took a day and one-half to complete. If you send me a private message I can give you more detailed information.
