Recently had 1/2 of the windshield replaced on our 2006 Tradewinds. We used RV Glass Solutions. They did a great job.

If you use them, they arrange to get the glass to one of their local partners in your area to do the installation. I might add, this was the preferred provider for our insurance company.

My 2001: first time, I got a "stress crack" in the drivers' side windshield...came down from the middle about a foot then towards the passenger side about the same. Not knowing anything....I called the dealer of purchase. He contacted my insurance company and did the replacement. The only negative I heard was that the insuracne company balked at the packing and shipping charges...but the company and the dealer came to some kind of terms on that. Cost was, I'm told, about $1200. however...since then, I've been told that figure might be a dramatic overcharge. At any rate, my insurance premium did not go up...altho my deductable went back of from $300 to $500.

Since then 2 stone chips that were repaired on site...40 bucks each...and this outfit says they can replace any windshield...original...for a fraction of that $1200.
Hope I never have to find out.

I thank all of you for the replies. I will be contacting the suggested suppliers Monday. This forum is a valueable tool which will be more necessary since National's failure.
