I cold weather would fire the furnace in out 5er with t-stat set at about 55 to 60, very nice to walk into a nice warm space on arrival.

Yes--under severe conditions. If need be, we run the generator to power heat pumps for heat or cool. Also allows for power to run space heaters in specific locations. Gensets are economical to operate and love to be run.....

yes, close the bedroom area if you have a door and run the gen set.....why be cold.

....and A/C in the hot summer. I take the opportunity to exercise the generator!
If you have a basement heat pump don't close off the bedroom. The air return is located there.

Yes and the washable filter is located behind the grille on the floor on my model.
