Gel Cracks

My 2001 TradeWinds has Gel cracks under the old sun faded decals. I've been told these can't be repaired so here's my question.

I have a bid for total Decal remove and replace for 2700.00 to 3200.00.

Also found a painter in Yuma who will remove all decals and paint on with my color choice.

I have a friend who had his Open Range 5th wheel done by him in Feb. Nice job.

So, what would you do, paint or decal??

Also, if anyone had or has the Gel cracks how did you get them repaired?

I have the cracks on mine as well ....I just finnished re-decaling the coach..and am extremely happy with the result. ..i have pics on here under the thread tropical re-fresh..if you are interested in seeing mine...that price is in range ...i paid 2500 cad. But removed the decals myself. The cost of paint vs decals is huge and there's a chance you'd still see the cracks. The decals are a fraction the cost and cover up the cracks fairly well .Your coach will look good for another 10 plus years , i guess it all would depend on how long you want to keep your coach and your budget. Not sure you'd get the return on the paint job given the age of the coach...in the short term.

Okay folks, it's a draw so far. Do I paint or re-decal to cover the gel cracks.
