There is a leak in the gen set gas line where it leaves the gas tank. When I start the generator gas squirts out from what appears to be the connection on top of the coach gas tank. There is very little area between the top of the tank and the bottom of the coach and I can see no way of repairing the leak without dropping the gas tank. Anyone have a suggestion as to how to do it? (03 Dolphin LX on W22)

I think the only way to get to the top of the tank is to drain and drop the whole tank.

I have a 2003 Dolphin LX and I just made this fix less than a month ago. Go down to your local auto parts store and buy 4 or 5 feet of fuel injection hose 1/4" I think (about $6 a foot, but worth it), 6 fuel injection hose clamps, and 2, 5 foot stainless steel brake lines and a small brake line bender tool if you don't have one. The reason for these upgraded parts is that you want to do this once, correctly, so you never have to do it again. When you drop the tank there are about 5 or 6 heavy straps that need to be removed so the tank drops down. Once down replace both the supply line and return line to the fuel injected generator by attaching a small amount of new fuel injection hose to the fuel lines exiting the top of the fuel tank and then run and bend the brake line back to the generator and connect using more flexible fuel line. Now all of the lines have been replaced and done correctly and shouldn't leak again. I would love to wring the neck of the man running National RV that allowed old, non-fuel injected hose to be used for such an important thing as GASOLINE!

Thanks, Vacation on Wheels; sounds like you have taken care of the problem. Hope I can duplicate your process. Did you have to use 2 jacks to keep the tank balanced while lowering it? I noticed on my unit that the tank has stubbed out tank fill fittings on the copilot side with very little clearance.

I had a fuel line on the gen. come off my 95 F53 chassis so I cut a hole in the floor right over the fuel pump to get to it. Now all I have to do is lift the carpet to change the pump or hoses. I put a metel cover over the hole, screw down then the rug. There is 8 in. between floor and metel plate over tank and lots of room in there. The
tank can stay in place with
out draining it. I used an air nipper-cuter to cut metal.

Dasa, you are right, there are duplicate fittings on the other side but when you drop the tank it will drop down without issue. I didn't have to drop the tank all of the way onto the ground, as I was able to repair by only dropping down one end of the tank, the rear end with 1 floor jack.
