You could have got one from Ebay for less than 15 bucks. At least it's not the starter, ya got to pull it out to put a starter on. Make sure you don't start or stop it with a load on it, hard on regulators. Generacs tend to be better on fuel than onans, have them both. I have a Generac 6600 setup for emergency for the house and my Dolphin has a onan 5500.

well this is a austin generator repair company I took it to , they are not going to look on ebay , if I had time I would . I did not know it was the solenoid until the tech told me

also it quit before I took ownership of it , so I will follow not start or stop under load

I also have a problem my the ABS , this place can work on also
it is a fleet maintenance company also

Great, sometimes it's better to bite the bullet and take it to a shop than getting totally frustrated trying to fix something on your own.

My 7.5 diesel Generac has gone through 5 starters and still doesn't want to start now, UNLESS IT DARN WELL WANTS TOO. It turns over really slow and the last guy to work on it said it was pulling 300 amps. It was working when I left his shop and was so thrilled that I started it every other day for two weeks and then it went back to it's old ways. I'm kind of thinking that it could need a heavier wire from the battery panal to the starter as that's got to be at least 30'. I know it has been running as it had almost a thousand hours on it when I got it in '10

Make sure there is a GOOD clean ground cable going from the generator frame to the frame of the coach. A dirty ground will cause it to pull too many amps, and burn up starters.
