Generator

I have a GENERAC GN-480 generatorIt just clicks when trying to start it
Once in awhile it will start but won’t continue to run
Hopefully someone can help me

Battery charged? connections tight and cleaned?

I would suspect something with the starter. If you are sure the batteries are good. Looks like like the start is around $40-50.

Check the generator fuel line for cracks, change generator fuel filter

Just to clarify it just clicks, when mine was not getting fuel it would crank but not start.

One way I found out it was fuel was to take the fuel line lose and use a funnel to bypass the fuel line and get fuel straight to the carb.

Check your spark, make sure it is crisp bright blue, if yellow check the ignition system. Plugs, points (if you have them ), coil condenser, wires etc..
