Generator latches

Sorry if this is a repeat.... and sorry it's so lame.
Can anyone tell me where the generator security latch(es) (pin(s) are on my 2008 National Pacifica?? I see the main compartment latch in the center license plate area, but there seems to be some security latches somewhere. Anyone??

Is the problem that your generator slide won’t open when you pull the latch? We have a different rig but, on ours when you pull the latch it pulls on two chains linked to latches on either side of the compartment. I have had a chain come loose and prevent opening. I simply crawled under and manually pulled the chains to open the slide. Once out I fixed the issue.

Generator Latches

You are correct... I will crawl under to see if I can find any chains. Thank you.

Thanks!!! There are no chains, but when I crawled under, I found a locking pin on the port side rail! Now let's hope I can find the hole it came out of when I go to close it!!

That’s a new one on me but, glad you found the secret combination, haha. Best of luck with your new rig and adventures.

just a note of interest... I got the front fiberglass panel off from the frame in front of the generator... and took it to the autoparts store in this dying little rural town and asked what I needed to do the fiberglass repair. The counter clerk didn't know, but sent me across the street to ask the owner of the local automotive repair shop... He looked at it and said 'I'll have it ready for you in a couple of days'. I said how much... he said 'not more than $50... I said here's my phone number call me when it's done. I thought I would have to do the fiberglass work, so I really lucked out! Podunk America is a good place to be and....Not bad for a Sheila, eh?
