Gray Tank 1999 Tradewinds
Has anyone gained access to the Gray Tank on a Model 7372 1999 Tradewinds? I have a leak and can't find a way to access it.
Thanks
Dick

Dick, somewhere on this Forum is a posting recording a response from a "former National Employee" who volunteered to help anyone with a "National" problem. He worked for National assembling MH's for several years, as I recall....he lives in California. I've searched my records and this Forum with no results. Good luck. Rook

Dick,
Please update the member forum if Rick is still at the RV Dealer and was able to help you.

In my 1999 tropical , 37 footer. You can see the top the grey water tank from the panel in the bedroom that gives access to the piping draining from the shower. I don't know if your rig is configured identical to mine but it may be.

I'll let you guys know if he is still willing to take calls. I have one more thing to investigate before I bother him.
I have the same access hole in my bedroom and it would be great if the leak was at the shower drain. I can't see very much else through that hole and need to see the sensors which I suspect is where the leak is. The 2/3 light on the panel will light when the test button is pushed, but dims to nothing within a few seconds. That isn't correct. I'm going to look over the bay on the passengers side since it appears the Black and Gray tanks extend all the way across the sub floor. The gray tank is right over the rear wheels and there is no access from under the coach and of course no bays to explore.
Thanks Guys
Dick

I don't know how the DP's are set up. On my Ford gasser in the rear pass through compartment just in front of the drive axle there is a panel that can be removed. I can see both the gray and black tanks from there. However, I cannot see the sensors in the tanks from there. Have you tried removing the panels in the water bay? I can see the black tank drain valve and part of both tanks from there. My black and gray tanks are over the drive axle also.

I'm in the process of removing my tanks due to a black tank leak. The access on my 1997 Tropical is in the passenger side wheel well. To remove the tanks I had to take off the tag axle wheel and fender. There is a access panel in the wheel well that gives you access to remove the tanks.
