Well, here i go again: I have a 2000 tradewinds model 7373 that needs a headlight. I went to the auto parts stores today and they have never heard of what i asked for. Autopal, DOT, sae HR93. Are these lights still available? I understand the headlights on a Tradewinds are not much better than candlelight anyway, so, are there upgrade lights that will fit without too much tailoring. I guess at this time, if the original light is available that is what i will do. Maybe upgrade later, so i would like to know the answer to both questions. Thanks, Rivrduk

They have upgrades here Repair composite RV Headlights and Motor Home Sealed Beam Lamps
but there really dear. I bought regular sealed beams for my 99 Tradewinds and they worked fine. Take a bulb to the auto parts store and they will lead you right to them. Take a number and you'll get a blank stair.

Or you can get Hellas for a small fortune like I did.

The headlamp comes on OK, but all the silver inside the bulb is falling off. It does not give off much light like the other ones. When you say take the bulb do you mean take the whole thing or is there a bulb that is inside the lamp, and if it is just a bulb i will still have the same problem as the silver reflector material is coming off inside the lamp. I hope my ranting is clear. LOL Thanks, Rivrduk

That's exactly what was wrong with mine. The Hellas I bought were the complete unit, headlamp "shell" and inner bulb. I understand an older Mazda pickup sealed beam headlamp will replace the 2 piece units.

So, instead of taking out just the one bulb one has to buy the two bulb unit. I was thinking i could remove the one bulb and replace it. Not real smart here, i am too new of a MH owner. Rivrduk

I have a 2000 Tradewinds 7373 also. My headlamps are standard sealed beams.Take one to the store and match it.

I took the bulb and they found a sealbeam that just fit. It had a halogen bulb and it seems brighter than the other three. I may change the other three as well. Here is the good part it only cost $8.00 plus tax. Rivrduk
