I need to change my radiator coolant and after searching through the Cat owner's manual and the Freightliner book, I cannot find any specific info on my cooling system capacity. Is it stamped on something somewhere? It's left "blank" in the table where it is supposed to be in the Cat book....and referring to a comment on "it depends on the size of the Radiator that the OEM installs.

I plan to use either CAT ELC or Chevron Delo ELC coolant (meets Cat EC-1). Does anyone happen to know which is less expensive? Rook

Maybe I should have simply asked "has anyone recently changed the radiator coolant in a 98 TW with CAT 300 and remembers how many gallons it took"? Rook

Howard, my local WalMart dos not carry the CAT ELC......do you know how much your WalMart charges per gallon? My local store only has Prestone. I also understand that Chevron has a good coolant, Delo ELC, it conforms to the Cat EC-1 spec. I don't know the price of that, either. Rook

Rook, sorry I meant cat antifreeze from the freight liner dealer at $15.81 a gallon and distiller water at Wally world. Sorry

Howard
