I have a 2005 Sea Breeze 8360 on a Workhorse chassis. I recently noticed that the grey water tank indicator will not go below the 1/3 full light. I removed the black plastic cover on the right side of the coach, behind the basement door, to expose the wires that attach to the sensors on the grey water holding tank. If I remove the wire that connects to the 1/3 full sensor, the light stays on. The 1/3 full light will only go out if I remove all of the sensor wires [not including the ground wire]. I would like to try to replace the small black item [I don't know what it's called] that all the sensore wires go to. This little black cylinder is about three inches long, about 3/8 inch in diameter, and is wire tied to the top of the holding tank. All the sensor wires attach to this thing, with one wire coming out of it that goes to the circuit board on the tank indicator panel.

I know that it would probably be better to buy a new high tech tank indicator panel, but I would rather maintain the original factory look of the tank panel.

Does anyone know where I can get this item, or know how to repair this problem without getting a complete new indicator system.

Bill

Ours have read incorrectly for the past 5 years. The only accurate indication is the full mark. I have learned to listen to the tank sounds and dump when they are full.

Good luck on working the solution, however this is a common problem with most RV's.

is a splitter resistor that, when current goes between the sensors, causes the resistance to vary and is supposed to produces the appropriate tank level indication.

Here is a link to after-market replacement probes:

Thanks for the response JJH3rd. All of the probes [sensors] in my tanks are new. The link that you gave me was for new probes...I think I need the splitter resistor.
