Hood Key

Does anyone know where I could get a replacement key for my hood? I lost one set of keys and the second doesn't have it. Of course I discovered this after draining the oil and changing the filter! Thanks for any help!

The lock is most likely a TRIMARK but you need to know what the lock number is.
Have you tried your other keys.

Hmmm.... My hood doesn't have a key. All the other outside compartments uses the same key. It would seem strange to me National would use a different key for one compartment. Perhaps the lock is just messed up because it's right up front?

My basement keys fit my buddies `04 Sea Breeze LX basements. It's a TM500. I've heard that a lot of keys are common to other MHs, especially the same brand.

It could have been added by the PO.

I had to go to an ACE hardware store to get dups made. Neither Lowe's or HD had blanks.

So much for hiding your extra keys under the hood

I got one at an RV parts place. It was a "like a coke machine" key. If it is try to take a pic of the stem in the center. There are only a few types of them (normally). The parts places are very proud of those keys.

And, of course, you will find your lost keys within a week of replacing the key.

Many RV dealers will have 'em.. SERIOUS locksmiths may as well. Most of them are identical.
