Well, i replaced the one-way valve on my 6 gallon atwood propane water heater, and i am wondering if i faced the flow arrow the correct way. I put it with the arrow pointing toward the tank. Have i done the correct thing. In other words, water can flow into the tank from the bottom, but it cant flow out. I had a 50-50 chance of getting it correct. I wonder if my luck was good. I have a 2000 model 7373 Tradewinds MH. If someone can enlighten me i would be most appreciative. Thanks, Rivrduk

imho you got it wrong the cold water flows in to the tank at the bottom and the hot flows out at the top if you install the check valve on the cold at the bottom the arrow should point to the tank if installing it on the hot outlet at the top the arrow should point away from the tank a check valve is intended to prevent water from flowing the wrong way lee

The arrow points the way the water flows.. So on the cold water line it points TOWARD the tank,,, On the hot it points toward the shower.

Reread my Question. I did point the arrow toward the tank on the inlet pipe at the bottom. I do thank you for answering my Question though. Rivrduk

I have the same motorhome that you have .Tomorrow I will look at my check valve to see where it is and which way it is pointing. If it is on the cold it should point to the tank. On the hot away from the tank.

If you replaced it, which way was the old one pointing?

In any case, towards tank on cold, away tank on hot is the way it works...

I just checked my hot water tank. If you put the valve on the white cold pipe going in at the bottom it should point toward the tank. If the red pipe coming out of the top marked hot it should point away from the tank. This is on a 2000 Tradewinds 7373 as seen thru the small access hole under the sink.
