If it is like mine with a wood frame around it you should see 4 wood plugs remove these and there will be screws. Remove the screws and the wood frame and the TV will be held in by several screws remove these and pull the TV out, I've done it my self but it's easier to have some one help.

Get help. We recently removed that TV in our Pacifica and that's a heavy sonuvagun to hold up there while you fiddle around with the cable on the back! If you're going to have it out you might consider adding a little insulation behind the cabinets up front while you're at it.

Like ItstheTrip said, GET HELP. We just replaced our CRT with an LCD(gotta post pictures someday) and the CRT weighed 88 lbs based on the owners manual. I ended up taking off the front trim by pulling the 4 plugs and removing the screws. Once that is off, more than likely, National put screws into the side of the TV to hold it in place, you will have to remove those plugs and screws before you can remove the TV. In our case, we had almost a 2 inch gap between the metal frame and wood below the TV so I got a 2x10x6ft long board, wedging it under the TV and sliding the TV down the board to get it to the floor. Good luck with the removal. And, I did insulate behind the front cap too. I used strips of R-11 kraft paper backed fiberglass cut to length. It was a little messy and if I did it again, I would use some of the fiberglass that is wrapped in paper or plastic.
