Information On Queen Bed Gas Springs Please

The gas prop springs on our queen size RV bed need to be replaced. The ones that are there have no useful data on them and will not hold the bed up when I try to access the space beneath it. If anyone has a similar set up I would appreciate any data on the springs that you may have as to manufacturer and closing force.

Thanks in advance!

My mattress was more than 10 years old and weighed close to 100 lbs. After replacing the mattress with a new one weighing only 58 lbs our gas struts now are able to support the bed easily. I am not suggesting that your struts are not worn out but the possibility exists that the bed has gained some weight over the years.

Mattress is only two yrs old so that probably isn't a factor, After much research I installed the two, new bed shocks / supports. I ended up getting 115 pound struts. They work great. Easy install. Ordered with eyelet ends so I could use the same brackets so pop off, pop on!
