Is there a box (?safe) under the bed of Nat. RV coaches? There is a box-like structure under the bed in our 2006 TropiCal LX and it looks as if it accepts the triangular key used to open the generator compartment, yet I can't get the top off. I am about ready to use a prybar, however, I don't want to break the top ? Any suggestions

On our 2003 Trop there are two panels ... one just to the passenger side back of the bed and one under the bed left. Both of these are opened with the same tool that opens the generator door in the front.

The panels do tend to stick as they are quite tight, but once unlocked and lifted, they provide a way to get to the top of the engine.

Hope this helps

Not a safe. You have two access panels to get to the engine. In order to remove the one you are talking about at least on my coach you have to disassemble the corner of the bed as it has two key holes one on each side of the foot of the bed. The panels do stick and I shove a screwdriver down the side and pry one end up.
