I don't see many people in here. From what you've mentioned there isnt an actual action to do in joining. Only thing is to jump in and start adding text. Am I correct. I'm still trying to get my husband's question answered on these slide out dowel rods. So, I guess I'm here for awhile. By chance do you know if the 2004 Dolphin needs or uses dowel rods on the slideouts while traveling.

You are correct, jump in.

As far as I know National RV did not use any external travel locks on the slide rooms.

The slide room motors have locks on them that must be engaged to keep the slide rooms from creeping out when going down the road. Some people also use dowls or 2x4's to hold the slides in.
