I would like to up grade my 08 Dolphin tail light assemblies to LEDs. I know where to buy them (Amazon.com) but I do not know what assemblies to order. I think they are for a Ford Econoline but I don't know the year. If any of you know the correct model, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

All you need to do is look at the light bulb number and order the corresponding LED replacement. Probably a 1157 bulb.

FYI, when upgrading to LED in your tail lights or front turn lights, you may need to also upgrade to an electronic flasher for the turn signals to flash due to the lack of load/resistance in the LED's. There are also load resistors you can purchase to fool the system if needed. Depends on your specific unit and chassis. Just changing to LED's may work, but don't be suprised if they don't...you may need to do other upgrades too. An '08 chassis should have an electronic flasher. Just a heads up in case you have problems.

Thanks for the replies. I want to change the complete tail light assemblies, not just the bulbs.

There was an article in Motor Home (I think) last month about chaging to LEDs in the tal light. Not a very positve outcome. The pictures in the article showed the bulb and LED bulbs brightness and the LEDs were very dim.
Just for your info.

A lot depends on the LED's.. I went with Barjan's for my tail light assemblies.. Mine are sealed "Hockey pucks" I think the origial brand was "Glow Right" or some such.. They fit in a rubber grommet in a hole in the back, have a special 3 pin connector..

The barjan's were very good, as bright, or brighter than OEM. and unlike the OEM's one of which failed within 2 months of taking delivery, these shoudl outlast ME!.

I did not (yet) do the fronts so the flasher still flashers.

I replaced an 1157 with a Barjan 1157 LED and if anything it was BRIGHTER, however this was "head on" the LED's. iThis makes a big difference with LED.s

A real 1156 kind of shines like this * (all directions) an LED liek this = (Straight out)

On the other hand I have some 1156 equivlents I got elsewhere.. I won't be shopping there again.
