I know this question has been asked before I am sure. But I put my jacks down last night but they will not retract. I have turned on the key and turned on the jack on/off switch several times. The jacks will go down more but not up.

In his profile motorhome is a Seaview, National RV used Powergear jacks. Link to manual. http://powergearus.com/documents/Man_Hyd_Level_Sys_500675_500629_500731.pdf

Make sure that your disconnect switch is on. Make sure that your parking brake switch is working it is part of the safety interlock. Is the chassis Ford or Workhorse.

How about some more info. Jack brand, electric or hydraulic, spring retract? etc. You might try interrupting power to the system to see if it will reset itself similar to other electronic systems. Just pull the fuse, wait 30 secs and plug it back in.

With all this wonderful technical advice, I might be out of line.
I have a bad habit of not setting the emergency break, before I start to operate the jacks

I know for a fact on the Ford chassis, if the parking brake switch is not functioning correctly it will affect the Cruise Control operation.
My Cruise and Jacks went out at the same time back when I had a 2001 SurfSide. Bad electrical connection and the plunger was hanging on the parking brake switch. Cleaned and lubricated problems fixed.

My jacks have a grease fiiting on them. I had a stuck jack. A little grease and it was back to normal. I now grease them every season.

Are you hydraulic slides working ok? if not it could be a loose ground at hydraulic pump.

Today we arrived in Yuma from Vancouver, WA. The jacks were working fine when we raised them to leave. When we went to lower them - nothing. They are manual power gear hydraulic jacks. The only problem we have had with them is there is a leak on the right front jack caused from getting dried out in 2008 while in Nevada. We had to keep putting more fluid in it. (we can't afford to replace it) After a year back in the wet NW it stopped leaking.

We have tried to find the fuse for it but don't know where it is. There is a fuse box right there beside the touchpad and they all seem fine. Tomorrow we will take the touchpad out and see if all wires are attached.

If this doesn't work, any other ideas? and yes, the brake is on and the MH is in park.

Also, one time someone posted where the ground is but can't remember. I think they said it was by the hydraulic well on the firewall but we have been unable to see anything that looks like that.

Should be a inline fuse up by the pump motor also.

One problem is our touchpad is pre-2004. It does not look like the one in the manual.
