Living Room Slide out Rollers - Cracked Fiberglass

I have a 2008 Sea Breeze. I noticed awhile back that on the bottom of my living room slide out, where the rollers contact the fiberglass on the bottom of my slide, the roller have made permanent indention's, or"channels", on the fiberglass. On the rear roller, my fiberglass is actually cracked along the edge where the edge of the roller contacts it. On my previous class c motorhome, my living room slide has thin aluminium plates attached to the bottom of the slide to help give additional support where the roller meets the slide out. I am not sure why National didn't add this support in my Sea Breeze, but I am thinking of finding a thin piece of aluminum or sheet of steel to the bottom of my slide out. Has anyone else ever had their fiberglass ruined by the slide rollers or has anyone else ever added additional metal support plates to their slide out?
