We settled in at Cocopah in Yuma. Not strictly 55+ in RV area, but rarely see kids except around spring break. Decent golf course there too.

If you are looking for a good place to stay for the fall long term, go to Cal-Am resorts web site. They run around 12 resorts in the Phoenix area and the price from 9-10 through 12-31 will run $695 to $895 for the entire time plus elect and sewer.
