check the oil level first. if ok try bypassing the low oil pressure switch screwed in above the oil filter.
mine quit last weekend after running perfect and after all things i could do, i unscrewd the 2 wires off the switch and held togeter with vise grips and she purred like a kitten again.
i had no small screw to hold, so another use of ducttape #10004.
i taped the whole vise grip up ith tape and left her in there all weekend to get home, but i did check oil every hour i run.

ps also noted a few drops of oil leaking from threaded stud on end of switch when i loosened wires to bypass.
