Main Slideout Topper Awning

Need to replace the awning over the main slide out. Have a 2003 6320 LX Dolphin. Has anyone replaced this awning? How expensive to replace? Thanks for your help.

Need to know if the mechanism is ok ?
If you only need to replace the Vinyl then cost varies by length and if you consider it a DIY job . U Tube videos on line .

A neighbor here in my snowbird park had a 14' slide cover replaced last year ; parts and labor , by a company that tours the park every week; for approx$250

It's called a slide "topper". I need to replace mine also. Most RV places can do it....estimate about $300. If you are mechanical and physically able....and have a helper, You can DIY. Rook

Tough Top Awnings online. They tell you how to measure and have videos on how to do it. All you need is a helper and 2 ladders (and some basic tools of course).

I replaced mine by myself by using a bucket tied to a couple clamps hooked to the new cover. It would pull the fabric while I fed it into the tracks.

Topper

I used trim to fit from amazon. $109.00 it was easy to install after watching the YouTube video. I made one mistake however. When placing the temporary locking pin to prevent the spring from unwinding ( I used an Allen key) tape it in place. I didn’t perform this step and the spring unwound. It was no big deal but by the time I wound it back up I had cramps in my hands. By the way the new one was equal in quality as the old one aeasy to cut
