Marlin and other National Models?

I have a '98 Dolphin gas now and am considering a 2001 Marlin DP.

Does anyone have info on where the Marlin ranks with the other Nationals and did they make it for a short time? I found a brochure for 2001 only on line but there is a dealer here that has a 2002.

I believe they have a 300hp Cummins.

Thanks,

John

I only see a brochure for the 2001 also: National Brochures Not sure on the 2002, but it appears they weren't made long. I can only assume they were made well as all Nats were. I bet just not enough sales and for some reason the Tradewinds sold better?

I believe NRV marketed it as an entry level model.

We owned a 37' Marlin for 4 years and 40K miles. In 01 NRV introduced several new gas and diesel models including the Marlin. The Marlin name was changed in 02 to the Tradewinds LE - same coach with different exterior graphics. The entry level diesel in 01 was the Sea Breeze Bus. The Marlin was next with the Tradewinds and Islander as upscale models. We enjoyed our Marlin and had no major issues with it. The 300 HP Cummins got great mileage and was adequate power for our M370. It might prove to be somewhat weak for the 39' model. The only recalls I remember involved the front tires on the 39' model which NRV upgraded, and the Dometic refer if it was the small standard model - not the side-by-side.
