My 1998 Tradewinds has 3 crank up vents.in addition the fantastic vent. Each one had a Maxx Vent Cover and I hate all that junk that clutters up the roof line.About 10 items or so. I have had coaches in the past with just the standard crank up vents. I took the covers off and cleaned the tops and found they were white. Are these the standard crank ups? They look wellsealed around the edges. I don't need vents up while driving and rarely use sitting still except to exhaust the kitchen or bathroom. I don't need to leave open in the rain. I would see an advantage of leaving the vents open when not used to let the heat escape. The covers were faded , dried out and ugly. Any body ever remover theirs. It sure looks better with 3 of about`10 obstacles removed.

Haven't removed any vents, but agree vent covers are ugly. I appreciate it even more since I have basement air leaving the roof clean, except the sat antenna, which is a fold down.

I didn't remove the vents just the ugly covers. They are an add on on most coaches. The vents only stick up about 4 inches.

They let you use the vents in the rain.
