Hi all. Finally got tired of the fan noise on the G.E Microwave / Convection oven yesterday. Simple fix. The fan blade over the center of the oven was rubbing on the sheet metal below it. I simply bent the blades up a bit to clear the sheet metal. I think the armature of the motor may of wore out a small spacer and allowed the fan blade to drop enough to hit the sheet metal. So far, it's quiet and works as new. While apart, I also replaced the light bulb. What a joke to have to not only remove the oven from the wall but also to have to dis-assemble the oven to replace a bulb. Really?

Yay! Nothing is as irritating as a NOISE! Thanks for the update.
