It's true. After a pleasant phone call with Roonie Boote at Monaco Service, I was able to verify the Monaco / National arrangement. Monaco did buy out the late model "2000 and above" cap molds and other templates for body parts. Monaco will only provide service repairs at their 3 FACTORY service centers. At this time no agreement for National service has been worked out with Monaco dealers. Monaco will not honor any of National RV's warranties, BUT, will honor any system manufacturers warranty, and will accept extended warranties coverage if applicable. This should be good news for all National owners, as it now provides the availability of first rate factory service for your National coach.

For service appointments call, (541-995-1123) or (800-266-4145)

I would like to thank Monaco Corp for stepping up to help us National Rv owners with service and parts, I know it makes me feel much more comfortable knowing I'm not out there alone anymore. And a thank you to Webster "George" for his great detective work.

Totally agree with that statement. Does anyone know if Monaco also obtained some of the wiring diagrams and so on also?

It will be interesting to see what comes of this in the future. At least is truly looks brighter. Thanks for the dectective work also.

Those service centers are a little to far to go if you live in Southern california You can go to Giant RV in Corona and Colton and they have alot of the service techs from National working there

I may be looking at this situation from a more negative point of view, but the only advantage I see is that if I need a new front or rear cap I know where to go.

The fact that Monaco will fix my microwave oven or any other appliance just doesn't give me any more warm fuzzies.

Fred, where would you have gone to have the front end replaced prior to this arrangement?
I'm glad to have a competant facility that could rebuild a slide if necessary. Like you, I would go to any dealer to have my microwave repaired. Another big plus here is, who else would welcome us National RV owners with open arms ???

I am glad to read this post. I feel good, knowing I can get a cap, if needed.
