My first RV -95 Dolphin
I just drove 1200 miles to Co. To pick up what looks like a brand new 94 Dolphin motorhome and it drives great. Now I want to get to know other owners. This is my first and at 70 I know I am starting late I'll need a lot of advice from all of you out there. The 230 hp Cummins did well , seems to have plenty of pep for 90000 miles. The gent took real good care of it . The only thing that does not work is the dash AC -blows but no cold air.
The only manual I have is very thin and min info , must be a better manual and if someone has one I would be glad to pay for a copy.
A little bout me . Retired 2yrs ago , my wife and I live in Aransas Pass Texas and we want to get started on the road soon as I get used to the coach.
Thanks for listening.
Jack

I will make a guess and say you have an Evens A/C system.
Then it would be one of the first two pages of the attached PDF.
Also you can call Evens for help.

A manual may be of somewhat limited value. I found most information on most of the systems in my Tropical from the manufacturers. Generators, furnaces, water heaters, fridge and so on are mostly available at the various manufacturer website. There is also a National Forum on Yahoo where lots of material can be gleaned as well.

I have a '94 Dolphin, a 34D1. Had it about a year, and we're just getting started on à summer trip. We like ours and I'm sure you will enjoy yours.
I had an AC problem that turned out to be the failure of the front cooling fan. The fan cools the freon after it leaves the compressor. If the freon is not cooled,
it can blow the compressor, or in my case, a hose. Either way, it's a problem. Yours may be completely different, but be sure to check.
I have a question for you if you don't mind. How does your engine perform? I'm asking because mine takes forever to get moving. It's great on the road, but getting past 20 MPH is a struggle. I'm just wondering about your experience.
I hope you enjoy your new (to you) coach.
Tom

Sounds like the engine needs a service. Ours is a 99 Ford V 10. Has plenty of get up and go. 33K on the clock, 36ft and a tag axle.

Hey Jack, Welcome aboard and we all hope you can enjoy your dolphin as much as we have so far. I hope you didn't have to spend too much money getting the dash AC leak fixed? I have found that if things start to get rather warm in the coach whiloe driving down the road, we use the house AC (via Genny) to cool things down and i might add, it does it a whole lot faster. If you're good with the puter sir, you'll find just about anything you need paper wise about your rig right here in this forum. There a Very Good Bunch of people here and very friendly as well. Need something you can't find, just ask, someone will answer your quest for sure. In the mean time sir, you and the Wife pack up and start having some fun!
