That is one call I never got in 25 years of that kind of thing.. You daughter did great, so did the caller. Highest praise to both.

Some calls I did have included woman in labor (handed that one off to an EMT in the office) She did not make it to hospital but the ambulance/emt's got there in time.

Had a hot pursuit of a stolen car.

Had a rape victim call in and hang up on me.. We managed to get enough info that the nice officer met with her at the Emergency Room nearby (I had given directions to same since she was traveling when she called)

I've had assorted medical calls.

Had one accident (Turned out fatal) with fire and a bunch of other stuff that I still remember.. I set up a conference with another dispatcher over at county (I was state) and he used radio to contact local PD's and fire as we narrowed down where the caller was.. We managed to control the first fire till an officer arrived, however we had hung up before the 2nd fire (Careless smoker set off gas leaking from vehicles) that started after the officer arrived but before Fire..

That one took a lot of work

And the center where I worked.. Well, a couple of the calls we had were basically the proof that not all the cop shows on TV are fiction.. Cause what Theresa did to find one caller was EXACTLY what a TV show did to find one... The very same thing.

Worked too

That was fantastic. I have always admired how the 911 Operators can remain so calm while there is something like this going on at the other end. You've got to be the proudest Parents in the World. She done good and may well have saved that girls life.
