My rear camera monitor quit!
Well, I got another problem....thought someone might be able to help. My rear camera monitor quit on me yesterday. I have determined that it no longer gets 12V from the ignition "on" switch. I checked the 3A in-line fuse in the 12v lead that plugs into the back of the monitor and it's good. Checked the 12 volt line to the fuse from the ignition and no 12 volts! Do anyone know if there is another fuse in this line before it gets to the source of the 12 volts? A prompt reply would be helpful as I'm working on it right now. Thanks, Rook

While RVCams Backup Cameras and Rear View Systems: Backup Camera Systems (All) is a supplier, he has provided other members with great information.

Thanks for the comments.
I gave up on trying to find a fuse or relay that provides the rear view camera monitor "switched" power from the ignition. I just connected 12volts direct fron the antenna amp that was close by through the 3 amp in-line fuse. I put the monitor in "standby" mode from the pushbutton switch on the front panel. So, when I want it "on" I push the buttion to the "on" position. I favor "simple solutions". Rook

In my2007 Sea Breeze, there is a 10a fuse in the dash that supplies the line to the video monitor. This fuse panel is accessable through a hatch in the plastic cowling directly over the speedometer.

Thanks Don.......On my next necessity to be removing the instrument panels, I will look for a fuse that supplies 12V to the camera monitor. May or may not be there on my model. Rook
