I had a lighted switch like that on my first motorhome, but it was labeled, for the holding tank heaters. There were actual heater elements attached to the bottoms of the tanks. The looked almost like the old after-market rear window defrosters. I was actually able to see the bottom of the tanks so I knew they were there.
