I don't believe there's any truth in that, as all of National's assets were sold at auction last month, I believe.

I would guess that someone purchased the intellectual property rights that were listed in that auction. With those rights, the trademarked names of Dolphin, Tradewinds etc. could be used.
There are a lot of rumors out there on this issue. I have heard both Monaco and Thor mentioned as having purchased the intellectual property rights. Who knows?

Joelyn, I didn't see this post prior to answering your other on. I personally don't believe they can sell the Pacifica for 110K plus your trade, when you look through the BK filings I believe the buyers were paying close to the 170K that I mentioned in the other post. If the price you quoted is true, it sounds too good to be true. If you do buy, the kinks in the coach may be a problem since there is very little information available, of course all of the appliances and chassis will be covered.
Good luck
Fred

thanks for the info fred but from what i researched i found that the invoice price of these m/h were around 180-187 thou. but they bought them from NRV for in the low 130's so they still are making a good deal figuring they will sell our m/h for around 70. so they are still making money.

You will notice this document does not bear evidence that it was filed with the court and was a proposal.
I believe the unit you are looking at is the unit invoiced at 165K, probably was sold for 72% of invoice, but not to 10,000 RV, they were not the winning bidder. The winning bidder was Dennis Dillion RV from Boise, ID.
Check out everything you can, I just don't feel comfortable breaking in a new unit without technical support when it comes to structure, wiring and plumbing.

I've got news! We came up to Harrisburg, OR and we kept going by Monaco so we stopped in to ask some questions. Met a very nice gentleman by the name of Steve Overlin.
He gave me the name of a service coordinator: Ms Ronnie Bootes. If you need service on your National Coach, you can send her an email (ronnie.bootes@MonacoCoach.com) or call her at (541) 995-1123 or (800) 266-4145. Their mail address is: 91320 Coburg Industrial Way, Coburg, OR 97408. Their physical address (no mail delivery) is: 30725 Diamond Hill Rd, Harrisburg, OR
They have a RV park on the premises. As you go up I-5, take Exit 209 and turn left onto Diamond Hill Road. The shop is about five miles down the road. If the park is full, there is a RV Park (Diamond Hill RV Park) right at the exit with very reasonable rates. They are a Good Sam Park.
As for Monaco, they purchased the web site and several molds beginning with the year 2000. They are looking forward to service National owners. They will honor most warranties. While they didn't purchase back molds, he said that there isn't much of a difference between theirs and National and they can handle that. They will honor all warranties on appliances and other acoutrements inside the motorhome.

Very interesting news George. I wonder if and when Monaco will make an official anouncement regarding the National brand ? I wonder, is Harrisburg OR, the only location they will do National work at ? I guess I will need to call them.

While Monaco may have purchased much of the National intellectual properties, the 6/9/08 article below from RV Business indicates that they didn't buy them all. Seems as if Gulf Stream Coach Inc. acquired rights to at least one of the brand names previously owned by National.

Gulf Stream Debuts Sterling SuperMax 'C'
RV Business
Monday, June 9, 2008
Gulf Stream Coach Inc. introduced its 2009 SuperMax Class C motorhome on a new 19,500-pound GVWR Sterling cutaway truck chassis from Daimler Trucks North America LLC, Redford Township, Mich., during its annual dealer meeting June 2-7 at the company's sprawling Nappanee, Ind., manufacturing campus. Also at the meeting, Gulf Stream showed a new diesel-powered Caribbean Class A motorhome, the name of which the company acquired after the bankruptcy of National RV Inc., Perris, Calif. The new SuperMax, equipped with a Cummins ISL diesel engine that the company says will get 14 mpg, is available in three double-slideout floorplans in 31- to 34-foot lengths. The coach is designed with an oversized cabover loft that Gulf Stream intends to make standard in all of its minimotorhomes. "It;s a true loft rather than just an overhead bunk," said Dean Crane, Gulf Stream director of public relations and training. "This replaces the traditional 'Super C' that we had before." Standard with maple cabinet doors with hardwood stiles, electric awnings, a booth dinette and 7,500-pound hitch, the Sterling-based SuperMax carries a base MSRP of $95,000.
