Looking for info on removal of basement air on a National Pacifica. I looked at removal of the cold air return but do not know quite how to do it. I have the procedure for Winnabago but it is not the same.

The output duct has screws under the insulation holding it on. The return also has screws that can be accessed when you start dropping it down. use the leveling jack to raise the coach a little so the unit will clear it.

Did all repairs myself, after unit is on the ground the top panel comes off and you can access everything. On mine the wire harness was long enough that no wiring had to be disconnected to work on it.

On the Pacifica, the unit needs to be lifted up about 2 inches to clear the cradle. The issue I have is the cold air return in the side toward the driver side. The cold air return comes straight down to the unit then goes to the driver side. The screws for the output ducting are all out except two on the bottom. Unit must be lifted to get at two screws. I need to get under and move insulation to get return undone. I have also been told to remove the return from the top but it has a couple hundred staples and under a counter. It goes on.
Once again my experience is with my coach only but when you remove the top restraining piece you can access the screws holding the boot going up to the air return. I am thinking you are at the top of this boot that is stapled?
