I'm new to this site but I was surprised to find no mention of the recent bankruptcy of National RV. We bought a 2000 Seaview new and have been talking about getting a new rig, so we planned to take a day off to do the factory tour to see what was new when we found out they are gone. Totally. We are sorry we can't get a new one. We are going to miss them.

Barry, welcome to iRV2.

If you look back at previous threads, you will find quite a few that discuss National's problems, bankruptcy and sale.

Thanks. I didn't find them. I'll try to look closer.

There were many posts and threads a mile long beginning the day it happened...probably more so over on rv.net, than anywhere else...there's even a yahoo registration that sends you updates and general information...
As far as getting a new one is concerned, there are plenty still around and at very good prices.
I wouldn't hesitate a minute if I was in the market and the price was right....even if a good warranty didn't come with it, although I think they've done something about that...not sure what ....might even be a dealer thingy.
Their stock did go from a few cents up to about 12 or 15 cents maybe....now back down to 3 cents...and with the economy in shambles...recovery doesn't seem likely..
