Trop-i-Cal went from a gas puller to a DP around 2003. As for info, you may want to start with a brochere and then go from there. Here's the Trop-i-Cal ...http://davidehlen.com/web/NationalRV...7%20TROP07.pdf
and here's the Trop-i-Cal LX.... http://davidehlen.com/web/NationalRV...7%20TRLX07.pdf
Here's more info including some asking prices and you shouldn't go wrong with one of these with a good close inspection and the right price.... https://www.google.com/search?q=2007...m=122&ie=UTF-8

Found this company while searching on line, they claim they can supply some plastic items for National RV.

I'm trying to find a cabinet door for my 1999 Dolphin 5350. It's one of the 8x20" doors that is above the kitchen counter/stove area.

Anyone know where I could find one of these in a coach that's being parted out? I've tried Colaw's and several others with no luck so far.

I want to mount it on the side of the cabinet that is by the slide so my kids can access the cabinet while we're going down the road. Ask me why. My daughter snuck in there to get a bag of chips while we were traveling and didn't close the door. So when we stopped and I went to put the slide out, it sheered the door right off. Luckily I was able to repair it without too much trouble.

New to iRV2 - should I be looking to buy a National?

Hello National owners!

I am new to the RV world, and looking for your reviews/opinions on your Nationals. How do you like them?

I am currently looking at a 2007 National Surf Side 32C. My hesitation in buying it is not the quality (because so far, it looks great!), but the availability of parts and quality maintenance is a concern. What is your experience with finding parts or what are some of your concerns? I see some of the posts on where to find parts, but are they becoming significantly scarce? Would you recommend buying a National today?

Thanks for any help. Looking to buy a used RV soon, whether it be a National or other? Any others you'd recommend?

Actually, there's next to nothing on the coach that's exclusively National, other than exterior body parts and the least of anyone's concerns.
The chassis is either Ford or Workhorse in that year and most everything in it, was made by someone else.
I'm convinced that they made one of the best built gas coaches anywhere in modern times.

As said in the post above, most things are not totally National produced. As far as the exterior, front and end caps are available through Ortega Manufacturering in Southern Calif. They have those molds plus molds for the bin doors.

If you walk onto an RV sales lot and look around you won't find many if any National used gassers or diesels. That should tell you something about them. We've looked for the past few years and haven't found any other MH we would give our National up for.
