The Seabreeze motorhome by National RV has been around for many years. The Seabreeze was mid line coach the LX is the deluxe version and the Seabreeze standard. Not sure what year you are looking at but National built good motorhomes. They are now out of business but repair and maintenance is no problem.

Faye,
I own a 06 Seabreeze 1321 with a Ford V10 and love it! My wife and I looked for ever at Motorhomes and found the Seabreeze to be alot of Motorhome for the money. I have owned this Motorhome for 2 years now and have put about 12k miles on it. We have had a couple minor things break but nothing really nothing that was a big deal. Let me know if you have any questions maybe I could answer them for you.
Thanks and Good Luck!

Seabreeze LX
I, too, own a National RV Seabreeze 1311. It's been an excellent coach. I have had it for two years now with NO problems! IMHO the quality is above average for this mid-line coach. The LX comes with many features found in more expensive coaches, e.g. dual pane windows, heated compartments, larger hot water heater, Corian counter tops, 22.5 inch tires, etc. I think part of the reason they are out of business is that they didn't cheap out like so many other manufacturers. National included many items in their standard LX package that were optional items from other manufacturers.

how much does those 22.5 tires cost? tires have not been replaced on the one we are thinking of buying(2004), but only has 3,500 miles on them. c.h.

Faye,
It all depends on what Motor comes with the coach. Mine is a Ford V10 and I get around 6.5-8 it all depends. I try and keep it around 65 to 68 but when my wife drives she tends to push it to 70-75 mph. I don't know how much the tires our mine only has 19.5 and those run around $225 each.
Thanks,
John

As far as gas milage, as JohnM said it all depends. We get between 8 and 10 depending on if we are towing our car behind us, if there is a strong head wind or not, and if we are on flat terrain vs. going through the mountains. In 17,000 miles we get an average of 8.5 mpg. YMMV.
Your tires may be good for another 2-3 years. Have them checked by a qualified tire dealer. The rule of thumb is to replace tires after 5-7 years, regardless of milage. Have them professionally checked.

My Sea Breeze is a 95 With a 460 Ford. I purchased it in April and have made two trips. One 3,400 miles Calif to Branson, Mo and back and the most recent about 1,700 miles up the Calif and Oregon Coast and back Highway 5. The Drive train has performed flawlessly. On the most recent trip a leak under the sink developed at the top of the water filter. When I took it off it was pretty heavy and instead of replacing the o rings I just replaced the filter. Leak fixed. Milage has varied from 6 to 9.2. The latter being on level ground and no headwinds.

we want to go to bransom also, what campground did you stay in and were you satisfied with it? did your national come with a spare tire???ours did not have one...is there a holder underneath the motorhome for one or can you add one of the tire carriers to the back.thanks to all of you who responded on the national, we just bought a 2004 about a week ago with very low mileage and we are so pleased with the quality of the way it is built..wish it had had a little different bathroom plan, it has a full tub and shower and i've had both my knees replaced and would have preferred a low cut shower, but we felt we made a wise choice. we're now trying to find a used cobalt to tow and have not made our first trip. we're going to try to go to myrtle beach for the shows as our first trip and bransom sometime later on, again thanks for all the info and help.faye

We went to Alaska in 2004 and spent the whole summer. We drove about every where posible, even to Inuvik, NT, which is above the Arctic Circle. We drove our 2002 Seabreeze and had no problems with the motorhome. We now have a 2005 Seabreeze XL and really like it.

Faye.
I can't remember the names of all the campgrounds. We travel without reservations and start looking for a place to stay around 3PM. Our 2nd night out we didn't find a campground until night. We resolved never again. Flagstaff looked a lot friendlier in the day than at night. We are in Visalia, Ca and traveled to Laughlin Nevada the first day. We stayed at an
Indian Casino Campground there. My Sister lives near Branson in Blue Eye
Mo.. We camped on their place. In Shamrock Texas we stayed at
a good sam park that was mostly grass and run by an elderly couple. It wasn't fancy but it was a pleasent setting. I'm more into grassy settings than cement and asphalt. There is a nice campground at Bryce Canyon. I had the oil changed at Bryce Canyon and felt the $49.95 was a fair price.
In St George we stayed a a Temple VIew Campground. It was $40 and the most expensive for the trip. The section we were in was not worth the $40.
I have a spare tire. Its mounted on the back in a nice case.
I just took a trip to Gilroy, CA. the 460 Ford pulled Pacheco Pass by taking it out of Overdrive. I kept up with the cars .
