The tailpipe on my Generac 5500 went bad last year. I know a guy who is a Generac expert and works (contracts) for the state of Pa to go all over the state to fix them. Called him and he told me that there are no more of those to be found anywhere. I took my muffler to him and he welded a stainless steel wraparound for it and saved it for me.

You may have to do the same with yours. PM me if you have any other questions. I can call you and send you pics of what he did on mine.

not sure why the first reply was not uploaded, but here goes again;

all is not lost, they are out there and not obsolete, second option is all the hot rodders knows a "guy" who makes, bends and builds their own exhaust components including mufflers, may be a cheaper route.

Our model # 9592-3 is part# 052108

Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/bhp/generator-muffler

Generac part # 052108 àhttp://www.partsfortechs.com/asapcart/052108-generac-rv-muffler-side-outlet-p-1292.html

Regards
