New Floor in RV

We are just tired of trying to keep our rug clean near the eating area. The black from kids walking on black top seems to be the issue. We want to put in a laminated wood floor so it will easier to take care of. What have others done? What is the down side? Would you do it again? What will it cost?

Well Lee, we're having our coach done within the next couple of weeks. I opted to contract it out, thus saving my well worn, 69 year old knees
I put an ad on Craig's List. There are a lot of people looking for work. I found a gentleman who has experience and gave me a price of $650 to remove all the old carpeting & tile then install the new flooring including replacing the carpet in the cockpit with a guarantee We purchased the flooring, trim & carpeting at Home Depot. We went with Allure Vinyl Plank which seems to be the choice of others who have done this. Total cost with installation? $1400! Will post before & after pics when completed.
Good Luck!

We installed laminate from Home Depot ourselves about three years ago. It was a pretty big project but not complicated. Here are some pictures

I would do it again. The floor is a lot easier to care for.

It's private labeled for Home Depot. They have several kinds.

Search Results forÂ*alure flooringÂ*at The Home Depot

Search Results forÂ*allure ultra flooringÂ*at The Home Depot
Brand names are TrafficMaster and Ultra

We used this Laminate from Home Depot

Search Results forÂ*dupont laminate flooringÂ*at The Home Depot

I put Bamboo Alure in our Pop Up because it was a lot thinner and wouldn't interfere with the cabinet doors.

We opted for the Allure Ultra. Got it on sale for $51.44 per box.

The easiest thing to do is to take your shoes off before you come inside.
Our concern for full laminate flooring was the coldness in the winter. We've elected to do laminate where the old vinyl floor was and upgrade the old carpet to a new Berber.
