New graphics and awnings

Just got new graphics and awnings put on my 2003 Sea Breeze LX 8311, thought I would post some pics. Sure does make it look better, can't believe how faded the old graphics were.

This is picture of old graphics

Forgot to take picture of rear, but it is similar to front with just one larger fleur de lis above the Sea Breeze logo. Went with black and "old gold" which are Saints colors, as I am big fan. The awning is black with "old gold" stripes. I thought for resale to a non-saints fan, all the fleur de lis could be removed and a couple of black cherry stripes added so that it would look custom, but not sports oriented.

In a previous post I had asked about putting new graphics over old, and most of the feedback was negative about that idea. When I went to get the graphics done, they were again very adamant that they thought I would be wasting money, as my graphics were only faded, but were smooth and well adhered. They stated they had had plenty of good long term results striping over old graphics that were in good shape. They thought that only 2 areas that were abraded needed removal, so I let them go ahead and put the new over the old, except for those 2 areas. Total cost was $2500, would have been another $2800 to remove all graphics. I figure if this doesn't last, I'll spend the time and remove the graphics myself, and now I have a local guy with the design on computer, and could re-do stripes if needed. But for now, unless you put your head up against the coach and look sideways at the stripes, you can not tell any difference from original. Right now I am very happy with the results!

By the way, my son said I should have changed the name to "Sea Brees" but I thought that might be a little much for future resale.

Oh, and I found the picture of the rear. Thought I had taken it.

Cool! Were your graphics custom made by a local graphics/decal shop?

On edit: Never mind - I went back and read your message again and you did say local guy. Thanks.

I use Gel-Gloss. Their heavy duty bottle has a UV protection. I use that on my decals. The regular formula I use on the rest of the RV.

Looks GREAT!

We just bought a 2002 Scout and the previous owner had the old decals removed and painted new ones on.
