New? Idea on Cleaning the rear radiator

Did my annual cleaning maintenance on the rear radiator/CAC today. Since I had just replace both the serpentine and water pump belts it occurred to me that if I released the tension on the serpentine belt I could freely spin the fan blades while applying the cleaner and then again while spraying down with the hose. It seemed to make the cleaning process a lot easier at least for me.
