Cool New National RV owner - visor problem

Bought a 2007 34' National Dolphin model in Oct 2011. Everything has worked great and so far my wife & I love it and RVing. We are perplexed, however, by the motorized sun visor just inside the windshield. It moves up & down but only in 1/4 to 1/2 inch increments. It takes several minutes and a hundred os so button pushes to get it up or down. There are no manufacturer labels anywhere on the visor and I removed it completely trying to find the manufacturer. I'm wondering if National made it ? It only has two small gauge wires going to a very small motor with tiny gears. Any further dissassembly would require removal of rivets so I didn't go that far.
If anyone has any experience with this visor please contact me.
Thanks, Dale

This may not help, but worth a look. Pull the switch out and check the connections and also do a voltage check. My switches had a couple of push-on connectors kind of loose. Plus, they were connected to the wrong terminals so pushing the down button down got up travel and vice-versa.

Hi, per our signature, our Dolphin also has the Automotion Shade and it too at times works intermittantly as you state. But it only does it for 2-6 small increments, and then operates properly, whether going up or down. We are thinking that battery power could be the issue, did check the rocker button contacts and wire connectors but found no issue/improvement. Look forward in how you resolve this issue.

I had my front shade motor go to pieces. They will not replace just motor, you will have to purchase the whole unit. There is probably a white tape with a number on it. That is the part number for that rv. You can contact them via email or phone. Remember the company is in Ontario, Canada. I cost me about $365.00 for the shade and shipping.
