Since my last newbie question produced such excellent results and 'entertained' over 1300 viewers, maybe this 'stupid question' will help even more:
Captain's Chair - I can't seem to get it turned all the around. I can get it 90deg to the right, but that's it.
Is this the limit?

That's the way mine is, and a common complaint. Think it has to do with not enough room in the cockpit before the slide. Have been trying to find someone who could retrofit a fix, but no luck.

I was told by the factory that it has to do with the updated 18" steering wheel. Prior to that, the chair would go all the way around as shown in all the literature. The literature is slow in catching up with reality!!!

I have an '04 with the big steering wheel and mine goes around, albeit not easily. You need to go through some gyrations of sliding it back, lowering the seat, and tipping it forward. The back needs to be in the full vertical position. As you rotate it and hit the wheel, you then slide it all the way forward and there is a slight bit of forcing it past the wheel. When in the rear facing position it is snug against the wheel and does not recline or rotate easily. Basically a fixed chair at that point. Once you get the hang of it, it is not as bad as it sounds.

Ditto with JKCTAZ in our 05 5376. It's a tight squeeze but it does turn around 180.

If it puts pressure against the steering wheel,I think I'll pass on it.

No pressure on the steering wheel. Turn the drivers chair 1/4 way with the back toward the drivers window. Then slide the chair forward all the way with the back up. Finish with a 1/4 turn. The steering wheel should be in the up position during this. It is fast and easy.

Followed your directions implicitly. Still couldn't get it past 90 deg mark.
Then I put the thigh support all the way down and voila. You are right. It does turn all the way around.
Thank you.

Oooh, thigh support. You must have one of them fancy new ones.
I am glad that after three months of scratching your head and reading our bad directions you can finally turn around and face the party. See you on the road....
